Trimmings - Twisted Cord
A twisted cord takes several strands of yarn, each one about 2½ - 3 times the required finished length. Four strands will give you a finished cord eight strands thick.
1. Cut the strands of yarn as shown and knot them together at each end, making sure that all the lengths are even (Fig.9).

2. Attach one end of the strands to a pin, hook or door handle.
3. Insert a knitting needle through the other end of the strands. Twist the knitting needle clockwise until the strands are well twisted together (Fig.10) and, holding the centre of the cord, place the needle and the hook end together, keeping the cord taut to avoid tangling.

4. Release the centre of the cord so that the two halves twist together. Smooth out any bumps (Fig.11).

Knot and trim both ends.
