Wrapped

This type is favoured by the fine count spinners who service the Leicester and Scottish hosiery trade. Whether it is by tradition or whether the knitwear manufacturers demand yarn displays in this form, I know not, but it is a costly way to show your yarns.

Some continuous filament and lurex yarns benefit from this kind of display as do random and printed yarns.

The backing strips can be either shaped or straight edged and can be up to 10" in length. The number of colours that can be displayed on a strip depends on the type of yarn or your individual requirement. For instance a fancy slub yarn may need to be shown on a strip 10" long and 3" wide [our maximum size] in one colour only to fully indicate the yarn construction. The base shades could then be shown on a standard fringe to show the shade range.

They are costed on a 'per fringe basis' and even if a large quantity is required this will only make a minimal reduction in the price.

Recommended for short runs and special applications.
